Soft “Sepia” Stories

Just some flowers, drops, leaves, clouds…

Date of photography: June 09, 2012

“It’s not my story anymore: whenever I speak about the past now, I feel as if I were talking about something that has nothing to do with me. All that remains in the present are the voice, the presence, and the importance of fulfilling my mission. I don’t regret difficulties I experienced; I think they helped me to become the person I am today, I feel the way a warrior must feel after years of training; he doesn’t remember the details of everything he learned, but he knows how to strike when the time is right.”

  1. Those flowers seems to be awaiting the shower of elixir from the monsoon clouds …
and that pond’s photo is awesome …those leaves on it just make it very interesting universe of its own

  2. Love the Sepia shades, Nandini.

The water lily leaves ? and the cloud images looking particularly good with the Sepia tones. I think Sepia (& very faded colour saturation) adds a lot of warmth, that Black & White doesn’t give.

You’ve inspired me to try a few of my own photos in Sepia in the future.

    Thanks for sharing.

    • Yes, water lily leaves. :) I was actually going to post the B&W versions first, but then I thought Sepia did a great justice to these photos. :)

Thank you, Victoria. Hope to see your sepias too ;)

  3. These are gorgeous photos and in my favorite shade sepia. Thanks again for your patience as I continue to sift through 4000+ emails. I finally had to turn the notifications off today… and start afresh. Phew!
