Ah! The work is keeping me busy these days. But nevertheless, I manage to take photographs. Capturing moments, isn’t it.
Here is one photo from today. I was just walking when I saw this petal, which once had belonged to Royal Poinciana’s (Gulmohar, in India) red flower, resting on the concrete floor. It was still so smooth and seemed “alive” against the rough texture of the ground. I had to click!
Separated and fell or fell and separated, well, that’s just history!

Nice pic. is it only in B/w or is there a colored form as well?
There is a colored form as well.
Thank you!
at first glance i thought it was a stingray on the ocean bottom, one of nature’s patterns
Oh yeah, your words made me change my perspective too. Thank you!
you are welcome!
Lovely to see your observation of the simple details in nature, Nandini – nice shot. I also initially thought it looked like a Sting-ray on the sea floor.
So many people walk right on by without looking down at the ground.
Thank you for your lovely words, Victoria. These are the things that automatically grab my attention
Nice shot.
Thanks, TBM!
Beautiful!
Works pretty well in black and white.
If you have the colorful version, you could try desaturing everything but not the petal, just to see how the result would look like
Yes I will give it a try,
Thanks, Pablo!
Hi Nandini, how are you buddy? That is some nice click and also reminds me of the hardship our lives have. And also that we need to live our life to the fullest.
I m fine, my friend.
Yes, we can relate to this photo in that way as well. Hmmm.
Yes I did remember that Lee.
Difficult experiences do make us think twice.
it indeed looks like a sting ray..i thought u had gone o trip somehwere..:D
nice click,,keep them coming..:D
Yeah a trip where I could have clicked such a picture does sound fun! Hehehe
Thanks, Subika.
Wow …a shot full of lessons ….
The fallen petal
Bruised by concrete beneath
but still looking so smooth and tranquil
bringing smiles to the passer bys
Nice little poem, Sir. Thank you for this.
In interesting study in contrasts!
Reminds me of string ray or one of those seabed dwelling fish/creatures
A lot of other people too said the same.
Thanks, Stevie.
Nice…
Thanks
