That Evening, I Experienced Uncountable Sunsets

It all depends on how we look at things, and not on how things are in themselves.  The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life than the greatest of things without it.  ~Carl Jung

Out of those innumerable perspectives, here are eight of them:

Snow-Capped Again

Not everything lasts forever,
Sunny winter days were here,
but now it’s just the blanket of clouds,
showering freezing water down,
capping the peaks with white flakes,
feels like it’s January all over again.

Out in the Green Wheat Fields

A sunny winter day,
splendid colors around,
cool breeze combing the fields,
a perfect blue sky,
some clouds trying to hide the sun,
Well, then who needs to go inside? :)

I got shrunk! But, I had a really good time. ;)

Blue Mountains + Green fields = Perfect happiness :)

Trying to hide in the shade? Hehehe :D

Date pf photography – 26th January, 2012 (Republic Day of India). Now, celebrating India is better this way, isn’t it?

What a joy it is to feel the soft, springy earth under my feet once more,
to follow grassy roads that lead to ferny brooks
where I can bathe my fingers in a cataract of rippling notes,
or to clamber over a stone wall into green fields that
tumble and roll and climb in riotous gladness!
~ Helen Keller

It’s really sad that snowfall has caused havoc in many places, like in Europe. I hope it gets sunnier there soon… … “Praying” :)

To Sun, Farewell.. With love, Clouds

A lovely farewell to the Sun. I was amazed to see the shape of cloud (I hope you notice it too!) and that too facing the side where the sun had just set. I was travelling at that moment and couldn’t help but ask my Dad to stop the car. Incredible “hearty” moment. :)

This shape dissolved within a few minutes for the wind had already done its work and the sun had happily gone to rise again. :)

Bright Sunday – Blue, White & Green

Yesterday morning, I woke up to a beautiful and bright day. While lying on my bed, through the window, I could see the brilliant-blue sky with almost no clouds. Without even putting my specs on, I took my camera and went out to shoot. It was hard to focus with my eyes still sticking together. Every other day it used be cloudy outside and so inside the house it would be dull and lazy. But this Sunday, it was totally different. I only wished that I had woken up at 06.00am. :D

The only cloud dust in the morning sky

By afternoon, clouds started ascending from behind the green mountains. Still it looked so beautiful as they were rising gradually with milky white appearance. I actually love the blue-green combination. The picture below was taken around 02:00 pm.

After an hour around 3.05pm, the cloud pattern changed entirely. Neat boundaries.

 A close look-

Cool breeze made me feel more good even though the sun was shining bright.

I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to capture this incredible view (esp., when it reminded me of Kashmir valley), and I was so happy for that, as by evening it was all dull, gray and humid.

I hope this day (9/11/2011) was peaceful for everyone. :)

“I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in.
~ George Washington Carver, American Scientist, Inventor and Educator

Red (Pink) Sky

“Don’t forget- Beautiful sunsets need cloudy skies…”                (-Paulo Coelho)

But this is also true- “Nature is revealing to us that life is full of many facets. Whether the cloud enhanced the beauty of sun setting or the sun light colours the cloud….everything depends on everything and could be anything too. It is our mindsets and attitudes that contribute to the quality and meaning of our lives. Nature has many times disclosed such wisdom to us.” (…via Esterina Gan)

Majestic Evening Sky

It seemed to me as if there was a forest fire behind the mountain, but it was just… a light show, all natural and totally WONDERFUL! It lasted for merely ten minutes or so, but it made my evening (22.07.2011).

:)

Clouds. Camera. And CLICK!

It takes me more time to switch on the TV than to switch on my camera. And by the time the advertisement screen (for the set up box) preceding the actual channel screen terminates, I am done capturing one beautiful picture. So, who needs the entertainment box (unless it’s very important), when I just have to look outside the window, step outside, and find wonderful continually changing colors and a lot more!

What’s more fascinating than the clouds during monsoon season in the Himalayas? Except for when it’s raining hard and they are covering the entire sky-view, they are like cotton balls spread around. They just fly around, sometimes run, and for a change, lie still as if the mountain is like a couch for them. But are consistently shifting shapes, thanks to the air currents! And this provides me with a whole set of photographs.

And I don’t need to ask them to pose for my photographs, they do it by themselves. Clouds! Camera! Click!!
