My Mother’s Pixels

Last month, my Mom visited her parents’ home, which is located in a very beautiful place. It is almost plain, with little hills and plenty of tea gardens and is completely surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Since, I couldn’t accompany her (sadly), so she took the camera with her so that she could later show me what she saw. So sweet of her! And tea gardens used to be my favorite place to play and hide during my early childhood days. Aaah, the aroma! :) :D

She doesn’t have a blog, so I thought I would share those pictures for her. :) The photos were quite good, and for some of them I simply did some editing in Picasa.

Location: Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, India. (Now, this place is literally sitting on the lap of Himalayas - Dhauladhar Range, lit. the White Range)

Colorful Beginning (- II) with “Fun”

In this post, I’m sharing few pictures which I took in the last few months but couldn’t share. I found them in my collection, and since they were all full of colors, I decided to put them here in my second post of this year. They are colorful in an artificial way (I don’t mean photo-editing here), as opposed to the natural colors in my previous post. I remember having fun clicking these silly things, which someone would seldom capture. ;)

Hope you like them too. :)

Playing with the “Focus” :D – -

This one below is from the Diwali decorations -

And this one- butterfly shaped hair clip – is from my childhood, more than 14-15 years old. My mom had saved it, among the other childhood stuff. That’s what Moms do, don’t they? :) Sweethearts.

:)

Once again, my best wishes to you for 2012. It will be better than 2011. Cheers! :)

My Mom Loves Birds, Esp. Sparrows!

We ,if we are lucky enough to have an open mind, interact with nature. Flowers, birds, or other natural wonders around us. My mom has these special friends which come over in the evening almost at the same time. These sparrows stay in the balcony near the flowers (My mom’s gardening) and search for food. They chirp until my Mom opens Continue reading
