It’s Blue, It’s Dusty and It’s Rusty too!

A few weeks back when the bus got delayed by around thirty minutes, standing on the road – waiting- I decided to do this instead. Time well spent, what do you think? :)

“Read, every day, something no one else is reading. Think, everyday, something no one else is thinking. Do, every day, something no one else would be silly enough to do. It is bad for the mind to continually be part of unanimity.”
~ Christopher Morley quotes
(American writer and editor 1890-1957)

A pinch of light, and whoa!!

Holding on to it…

I’m guarding this tree, can you do it too?

Waiting for the Green Signal

Waiting at the traffic lights,
sitting on a rickshaw with a friend,
observing the heritage of Patiala (which by the way can be seen everywhere in this city),
and, enjoying the warmth of the sun along with the fresh/polluted air.
Typical Indian feeling – great and wonderful.

I always enjoy rickshaw rides. It’s difficult when it’s raining, but that’s fun too! :)

Weekly Photo Challenge: Waiting

Family of Birds – Evening Get Together

Evening is the time when all the birds sit and chirp together just before their roosting time. That is the time when their loud noises are difficult to ignore. So I decided to capture one group in my camera. This group, rather I would like to call them ‘family‘ here, was periodically flying around this tree and then settling down for sometime to fly again. It was great to watch them do that.

It was evening and the light was very dull at this part of the sky. I processed this image to make it B&W. The birds looked great this way. :)

One more. This one is just a cropped version of the original one. I wanted to keep its colors. :D

:)

Birds make all of us ‘dream’ to fly,
fly high into the endless blue sky.
To be courageous and stop being shy,
how amazing would it be to freely fly.

Have an amazing free weekend!

Hidden Lady Bug

Poor little fellow. It got more and more scared and started running into the grass, as I gradually brought the camera near to it. At one point I literally started asking- Please, stop for a minute, don’t hide too much.

Hehehe. But, it was fun. ;)

Risky Perch – Weekly Photo Challenge – Opportunity

♦ Risky perch in endless Himalayas ♦

I was travelling when I took these pictures. The view was so beautiful that I had to ask my Dad to pull the car over. I went to the roadside and got started with my camera. But here is the twist. Although I was actually interested in just the big picture, I accidentally captured a little creature which I wasn’t aware was in the scene too because of its small size (which by the way is a dragonfly). I didn’t notice it until I checked these pictures on my laptop.

Anyways, what matters now is that I grabbed the opportunity and I got more than what I had planned for. And I had FUN! ;)

Want a bigger perspective??

Can you spot the dragonfly in the above picture? I hope you can. If not, watch it in full view. Another option, check the header image.

:)

Opportunities arise unannounced. They don’t ring a bell. They just show up and we need to be ready to take advantage of them.

Weekly Photo Challenge – Comfort

Comfort for me- My home, my family, mountains, sky, clouds, and my prayers. Let me illustrate using pictures as it is meant to be… :)

Me in my mother's pure and never-changing comfort-This is my favorite picture

The beautiful flowers and peaceful mountain sky.

Lying on the comfort of a soft blanket and looking towards the mountains, esp. in winters.

The words on that paper form a beautiful prayer. Click on the picture to read it.

Thanks to good God, I am lucky enough to know what comfort is. I hope everyone in this world knows it too. God bless everyone. :)
