This was taken when I had gone with my family & friends for a picnic up on the mountain on a dry cold winter day. It was a great beginning to this year.🙂 Mom’s Shawl, Sunglasses and jacket provided by my Parents’ friends.

~ Dalai Lama

Good day to you.

P.S. I guess by now you must have figured out what is in the picture, haven’t you?😉
I took this photo (including the header pic) when I was back at home in Himalayas.🙂
It was so much fun writing this post, really. And giving it a special meaning made me even more joyful. Also, the editing (inverting colors and B&W) was fun too.😀

Hope you enjoyed it too!

It’s so good to be back here, and posting, on WP. Will update more very soon!🙂

I’m Happy and Thankful!

I have been quite busy lately. But through this short post, I wanted to thank you all for the birthday wishes. Your responses to the last post (as well as to others) made me immensely happy. Loved them!🙂

I hope you all are having great time. Good wishes to you! Will update soon with some photos.

I also noticed the addition of two brilliant new themes (Sunspot & Triton Lite, cool names, right?), but changing from this AWESOME Twenty Eleven is so hard. Hehehe. But may be later I would change my mind, or may be not!😉

My favorite flower photo so far – (just felt like sharing again!)

A post without a photo is so boring, isn’t it?🙂

Birthday Flowers and Updates :)

Flowers for today, and as the post title says.I have chosen especially these flowers for today’s post. It is after three years that I’m with my parents at home on this day. I’m grateful!🙂

Thanks to Miro (Warrior Poet Wisdom– one of my favorites!) for this wonderful poem –

A birthday is one day out of
Three hundred sixty-five
When people take a moment to
Notice that you’re alive

People that you haven’t heard
From in weeks, months or years
Suddenly make an effort
To send their joy and cheers

Well wishes because we’re told
That when someone was born
Is the one day of the year
That we should all adorn

That person with our honesty
Our caring, gratitude
To let them know directly without
Having to elude

At risk of sounding ungrateful
To those who drop a line
And wish a Happy Birthday, let me
Try to disentwine…

I know I have not been replying to your comments lately, and I won’t be be able to do that for a few weeks, starting from now. I have got some very important work to do. I will let you know about it, but may be later.🙂

I have been reading all your sweet and kind comments, and I am so thankful. I love getting responses, as you might already be knowing.🙂

I will miss posting and reading your wonderful blogs, but, I will be back as soon as I can, BECAUSE I LOVE IT OVER HERE!🙂

With love and good wishes,

Portrait of an Irrelevant Nail

A quick post for today, I would say (I have some important work). This nail is just gathering dust & rust being on the side wall of an inauguration-stone-brick-stand. It’s totally irrelevant now. I suppose it was waiting for me to take a picture of it. Hahaha😀

Katie Johnson (her blog here) asked me to share this photo – so very sweet of her. She has some wonderful nail portraits.. you must check out. It’s for you Katie!😀

Let me know what you think of it. This is my first nail portrait.😀

Have a nice time!🙂

The Exceptional Colors of 8th March, 2012

What’s today?

Holi – The Festival of Color(Check out my last year’s post: Let’s Fill Colors!)

– International Women’s Day (IWD)

– Three of my friends’ birthday!

So, I was thinking what’s common in all of them, and which photographs should I include here so that this post is worth of all of those special things. I found something – Colors!😀 I hope you understand how and why.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re black or white!
Let the colors splash to make our lives bright!
Colors are many, natural and artificial!
Spread the colors that show our divine!
Join hands to bond one and all!
Let Holi make life, a celebration!”
– Jay Gurumurthy

Go on, take one and enjoy!😀

Best wishes to you all!

Slightly Silhouetted at Sunset in a “River” Style

I’m in love with the Golden color!😀 I’m seeing it everywhere- in my laptop, around me, in the morning, in the evening, in people, ….. Hehehe. And if you have not noticed, I have changed my blog links to a golden shade (Twenty Eleven does that too!), and the main header is in a similar shade as well.😉

Here is more gold along with golden quotations.🙂

“Pure gold does not fear furnace”
~ Chinese Proverbs

“Truth, like gold, is to be obtained not by its growth,
but by washing away from it all that is not gold.”
~ Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy

“Stories are like fairy gold, the more you give away, the more you have.”

Have a day with golden moments!🙂
