Portrait: Feather on a Leaf

Here it is. A feather on a Leaf. Hmmm… is it really so?IMG_0162I know, I know, no one can defy gravity.😉 But I kind of liked this picture this way: upside down. What do you think?

Alright, I will give you the right one now.

Let’s get a bit more closer:

. . .

In dreams, anything can be anything, and everybody can do. We can fly, we can turn upside down, we can transform into anything.

Have a happy February!🙂

In Macro: ‘Oh, harsh winter!’

“I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure in the landscape – the loneliness of it – the dead feeling of winter.  Something waits beneath it – the whole story doesn’t show.”
–  Andrew Wyeth

Green, yet, feeling it…

You don’t need snow all the time to feel the winter, do you?

Happy weekend everyone! Stay warm.🙂

Morning ‘Love’

Today morning after the walk, I looked up and was welcomed by this perfect composition. I had to capture it and thank goodness phone camera was with me.

Can you spot a heart?

Here’s a Tanka written just for this post by a lovely fellow blogger Somali:
Swaying to music
in air, twigs bath in soft glow
of morning sky; looking
down, the heaven smiles on earth,
greets with a heart full of joy

Macro – – Coloring the Ground

All the while I ignored it. But when the morning light shone on this tiny amazing plant crawling its way forward, I had to click it. The tiniest element (is it a flower or a leaf..?) leading the way for its new branch seemed to me the most courageous and also the most inviting for my camera. The green grass added a little more magic to it.

Himalayan Bulbul (White-Cheeked Bulbul)

Himalayan Bulbul or White-Cheeked Bulbul

Bird Family : Pycnonotidae – Asian bulbuls, finchbills & malia
Location: Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, India
Date: December 22, 2015

The word ‘Bulbul’ is a Persian name for Nightingale.

I have once before posted few pics of the same bird (click here to go to that post), but back then I hadn’t realized that it has a hairstyle like the famous cartoon character ‘Johnny Bravo‘. Hehehe. Here, the cloudy sky provided great light to click this lovely bird, which showed up suddenly to (I am sure) surprise me😉 or more likely, to drink water.
